Contracted Forms in English – Part 2

In this second video on contracted forms in English we are going to look at some more contractions. Each type of contraction is followed by a pronunciation practice with short sentences to help you master this combination of words and to become faster at speaking English.

Some of them might be a bit difficult at first but remember that regular practice will help you build muscle memory, so the way of articulation becomes more familiar to you. Whilst it is important to master the pronunciation of contracted forms in English, please remember that these are informal (especially the last group in the video). When writing texts or speaking in more formal situations we usually use full forms.
