In this video we are going to practise seven of the eight diphthongs in English. Diphthongs are double vowel sounds we can find in many words.
For example, ‘house’, ‘phone’, ‘boy’ & ‘nice’ all contain various diphthongs. The video starts off with a quick revision using the fun activity of ‘Diphthong Boy’.
After that you can test yourself: can you hear which word contains the given diphthong? If you are new to diphthongs, please watch the introduction videos first. You can find them all in the submenu ‘Vowels – Diphthongs’.
