The 3 Types of Word Stress in English

In this video we are going to look at the 3 types of word stress: primary & secondary stress and unstressed syllables.

We are going to look at example words and discuss when secondary stress occurs and how it differs from primary stress.

We are also going to explore unstressed syllables and the typical sounds we can find in those syllables. Unstressed syllables are also called tertiary stress at times.

You will see example words of 4, 5 and even 6 syllables all featuring secondary stress. And the most amazing thing? You probably know these words and their pronunciation already.
